"This is an album full of joy, darkness and experimentation, tuneful yet discordant blues veering
into walls of white noise and half heard conversations. Noise gives way to guitars and drums
which in turn become noise, inducing a constant sense of claustrophobia. Familiar yet unknown
melodies smothering your senses, there is only respite at the end. A pulsing organ morphing
into trance-like synths, fading into what I can only assume is the album digesting itself; almost
Ouroboros.
This is not a perfect record, it is a difficult and challenging album that can be hard to endure, yet
there is a body of work here that is in equal measures cathartic and suffocating; nostalgic while
remaining valid and full of life. A body of work worth listening too.

Jothi is Gary Huggins, from the south east coast of England. Gary’s music focuses on experimentation with field recordings, deconstructed classical passages, heavily manipulated guitar and synthesizer and painstakingly chopped and screwed compositions.

Jothi’s debut album ‘There Is A Light’ is set to be released June the 5th on all major streaming platforms.
